Learn MoreLet’s face it, it was a colonoscopy! Not fun from the get-go! However, what does help to make it more tolerable is that I received a prompt call back from my message that I left to schedule the appointment, the scheduler was friendly, kind, and competent. On my appointment day, I was treated with great kindness and respect. I was greeted right away when I came in, completed my paperwork, and hardly had to wait at all. Once in the room, I was told what the procedure was going to be like. Unfortunately, I was poked three times for the IV. That wasn’t fun, but it was getting close to the end of the day And my veins are not as young as they used to be. I did wake up a bit during the procedure, which was kind of interesting really! I was trying to see the screen, but the anesthesiologist caught me and back under I went. I feel like I received absolutely top-notch nursing care after my procedure. My doctor checked in with me and told me how things went. I was given good instructions and everything came to pass exactly as they suggested that it would. I was told what to watch out for etc. My pathology report came in very quickly, and my results were relayed to me immediately upon receipt. If you have to have a colonoscopy, which I truly don’t highly recommend because they’re not a great way to spend your day, but if you have to have a colonoscopy, this is the place to go! Ill be back in seven years! Thank you!!
I was scared at first but they made my experience great! I have never had anesthesia before and I was kind of freaking out about it . I needed to take a certain medicine before hand and they let me take it with no problems with my procedure and I wish I remembered all of there names because they really helped me feel better! Thank you again
Had my latest screening colonoscopy this past week and I have to say that it was as pleasant of an experience as I could have hoped for. The entire team at the Endoscopy Center of Santa Fe treated me like gold, explained everything that was happening through the entire process, and focused entirely on patient centered care.
